Parsley Plants for Passover
Submitted By: Jamie Stern
Tu B'shevat is the Jewish New Year for the Trees and a time in which many Jewish people here and in Israel celebrate nature. To celebrate this holiday, my family has a fun tradition of planting parsley seeds in individual terra cotta pots that we decorate ourselves. Over the next 6 weeks we watch as they begin to sprout and grow into hearty parsley plants... just in time for Passover. Everyone gets a real kick out of the fact that my kids grew the parsley especially for the seder, and my kids feel so proud that they contributed something significant to our holiday celebration!
